Hi guys!
As I promised you on instagram, I will share this amazing vegan pizza roll recipe with you. Who doesn’t love pizza? And how cool is that in a roll? Am I right? 🙂
So, I just found out that puff pastry (I am not sure it is the right English term, but in Hungary it is called “leveles tészta”) is also vegan, just like Oreos – anyway you can find my Oreo smoothie recipe here – are. I am still a newbie and get excited, when I see one of my favourite foods in the vegan section 🙂 So, I couldn’t resist and bought some pastry. Since we were getting ready to our trip to Brno, and we wanted to save money, I prepared our meal at home and we packed it for the road. So I made this.

Looks so mouthwatering, right? Are you still excited for the recipe?
Here is what you will need (for ca. 25 vegan pizza rolls):
- 2 packages of puff pastry (or you can use your pizza dough)
- 1 jar of tomato sauce
- ca. 2 cups of veggies (you can get creative here, I simply used peas and corns)
- 200 g of vegan cheese
- spices: salt, oregano, basil, garlic powder, cayenne pepper
- Heat the oven (the exact temperature will be on the package of the puff pastry) to ~ 200 degrees.
- Lay the pastry on a backing sheet.
- Mix the tomato sauce and the spices, I also added some ketchup and nutrional yeast.
- Put the sauce on the pastry, add the veggies, and finally the grated vegan cheese.
- The hard part comes now, to roll up the stuffed pastry. And finally cut it into rolls. Good luck!
- Bake them for ~ 15-20 minutes.
I hope you like this recipe, if you make it, tag me (@veganbysuzie) on the pictures, so that I can see them. 🙂
For next weekend I will write a Brno guide with vegan options in Brno. 😉
Question: what would you like to see more? Recipes or health advices? Do you still enjoy my favorite vegan bloggers series? 🙂
Have nice week!
Love,
