First question: do you like CHOCOLATE? You probably do because otherwise what are you doing here? 😀 When I tell you this is the easiest and most delicious vegan chocolate cake you have ever eaten, don’t believe me, try it for yourself. You will see I was right. 😉
Why is it so good?
- dairy free,
- egg free,
- no added sugar/sweetener,
- only 5 ingredients,
- prep time under 30 minutes,
- super delicious!
I think this was the 4th time I made this cake because my boyfriend and I are really addicted to it. 😀 And I tried to make it perfect for you. 🙂 If you visit my facebook page, you can see the prototypes, how my previous attempts turned out.
What will you need?
- vegan dark chocolate,
- canned coconut milk,
- vegan caramelized biscuits (like Lotus Biscoff or any vegan biscuit of your choice),
- peanut butter,
- berries
Mmm, it looks good, right? 🙂 And you can make this delicious vegan chocolate cake by yourself!
Just follow these steps:
Smash the biscuits to dust consistency. You can do this with a blender (it takes only 2 minutes) or put the biscuits in a resealable plastic bag and hit hard with a spoon. 😀
Than mix the biscuit with ca. 5-6 tbsp of peanut butter. You can use any nut butter you like. 😉 This will be the base for the cake.
Then put the base into a small cake pan (ca. 18 cm), and freeze.
Meanwhile you can make the top. You only need 200 g of dark chocolate and the half of a canned coconut milk. Preheat the coco milk and mix with the chocolate.
Pour the choco cream into the pan (with the base) and put some mixed berries on the top. Put the cake into the fridge for 1-2 hours. When it is hardened, you can serve it. 🙂
Oh, I think this vegan chocolate cake will be my all time favourite! Yumm… 🙂

Hi
I am a beginner and would like to check – do I wait till the base freeze before pouring the top in?
And for the chocolate and coco milk, I heat them in a pan to mix?
Hi there,
you don’t have to freeze the base. Put it in the fridge, and in the meantime, you can heat the coco milk and mix with the chocolate. 🙂 When it’s ready, you can pour the top part on the base. I hope this helps.
Have a nice day!
Suzie
Hey, I made this, but with some difficulty.
Might be better if you could clarify the exact amount of coconut cream required.
Also, most coconut cream is separated in the can (liquid/cream).
I didn’t discard the liquid and I ended up with a runny chocolate cream.
The recipe didn’t really explain this part properly and I’m very much an amateur.
However, after some experimentation I managed to create a really delicious and easy cake!
Hi Lennart,
thank you so much for your honest feedback. 🙂
I will make this again and make sure to check the right amounts. For this recipe, you should use reduced-fat coconut milk, that works the best.
But if you use the other one, first stir it with a spoon.
I will fix the recipe though. 🙂
Have a nice day!
Suzie

Hey Sylvie,
thank you very much! I hope you will try it. 🙂 I was thinking how can I make it nut free, so who suffers from nut allergy could enjoy too. Any ideas? 🙂
